Neck Pain

It is understood to mean pain in the upper part of the spine, the cervical spine. The pain can be local over the spine, but it can also radiate to the head, face and dizziness.

The symptoms are often present especially at night, when muscle tension decreases. The symptoms often disappear after weeks without any measures - however, if they persist, then the clarification with a precise examination and pictorial clarification with X-ray and MR is necessary.

Causes:

  • Degeneration of the intervertebral discs and vertebral joints
  • instability
  • Loosening of the ligaments in the upper cervical spine after an accident or in the case of rheumatism
  • fractions
  • Dislocations – vertebral displacement
  • infections
